Carol Russ Bonner, 68, of Tarboro, died Saturday, December 7, 2013 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Carol, a native of Nash County, was the daughter of the late James Sidney Russ; she was also preceded in death by her stepfather Boyd Clayton Corbett of Tarboro; father and mother-in-law Dr. Allan and Sally J. Bonner of Hertford; stepbrother Wayne Hathaway of Sharpsburg; and her brother-in-law James J. Bonner of Atlanta, Ga.

She is survived by her husband Charles M. ''Chuck'' Bonner of the home; daughters Lisa Matthews O'Neal and her husband Keith ''Tubba'' of Tarboro, Angela Matthews Parnell and her husband Keith ''Casey'' of New Bern; stepson Charles ''Chuck'' M. Bonner, Jr. of Raleigh; grandchildren Clay and Eliza O'neal, Katie and Patrick Parnell, Kelli, Katie and Ryan Bonner, and one great-grandchild Blake; her mother Lillie Corbett Page and her stepfather Charlie of Tarboro; her sister Cheryl R. Langley and her husband Garland of Rocky Mount; half-sister Cindy G. Corbett of Rocky Mount; brother James F. ''Rusty'' Russ and his wife Peggy of Tarboro; stepsisters Faye Beddingfield of Rocky Mount and Monica Hathaway of Elm City; half-brothers Jay Russ and his wife Laura of Nashville, Van Russ and his wife Lisa of Red Oak, Blake Russ and his wife Lorie of Rocky Mount; stepbrother Jerry Hathaway and his wife Tammy of Wilson; brother-in-law Allan B. Bonner and his wife Linda of Raleigh; and sister-in-law Katherine ''Dede'' M. Reese and her husband Robert of Ashboro.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 411 East Church Street in Tarboro with the Rev. Janey Wilson officiating.

The family will receive friends following the services at the church.
